Connect Huntsville and Madison -- Fix Madison Pike Sidewalk Gaps

From start to finish, Old Madison Pike is 5.5 miles and has about 5 miles of sidewalk to the north side of the street. There are two gaps in the sidewalk network. The first is at Madison Pike and Slaughter Road. About 230 feet of sidewalk is missing. What is your favorite BIG Picture idea for Huntsville

Getting Across Highway 431 & Taylor Lane

There needs to be a way to pedestrians and cyclists to get from the West side of 421 to the East side safely. There a many subdivisions (Hampton Ridge, Carrington, Highland Park, etc) in this area that don't have a safe way of getting to Hays Nature Preserve and the associated Greenways. What is your favorite BIG Picture idea for Huntsville

CROSSWALK on BOB WALLACE ACROSS WHITESBURG

FOR over 8 years I have begged the city and my councilman Bill Kling for a crosswalk here. The city painted a crosswalk on Bob Wallace across California but never continued it across Whitesburg. This is just down the street from Huntsville High School. My entire neighborhood can not get across our intersection to walk/bike safely to HHS, local businesses, or our park. Pedestrian crosswalks

One of the changes that's talked about a lot and seems to get a good bit of support is making Huntsville more pedestrian and cyclist friendly. It seems to me that having more crosswalks would be an obvious way to move in the direction of being more pedestrian friendly.
