Free Community Garden & gardening education center

It would be beneficial to not only the city & it's residents but the Earth as well. For far too long we have all been exposed to many chemicals in our foods without knowing what really goes into them. We could have a designated building with property attached where our residents of Huntsville & surrounding areas could come ...more »

Urban development multi-generational

I just came from a talk by Mayor Battle during which he discussed the urban development concept (places where families work, live, and place in close proximity). I'd like to see another dimension added to the concept that would encourage people of all ages to live in close proximity so that they might help one another. So in addition to work, maybe add retire to the concept. This would create a small town concept too. ...more »

International Farmers Market open daily

I would love to see a Farmers market that we can get local and international fruits, veggies and meats. A place where local co-ops can come daily as well. a lot of times the Farmer's Market events don't work with my schedule so if we had something open daily I could utilize it anytime

Outdoor Gyms in parks and Greenways.

Alabama has the largest number of obesity. An outdoor free gym would encourage exercise and it would be free. Other sites have them why not Huntsville? Let's encourage healthy activity! checkout http://www.scotgym.co.uk/products/outdoor-equipment/

Entrance to Memorial Parkway South from I-565

Vistors to Huntsville who travel on I-565 to exit on Memorial Parkway South (and even into Downtown) are greeted by pure ugly. Especially entering onto Memorial Parkway, where you see (on your right) Lanier Ford, run down government housing, run-down (yet good) Mexican restaurant, empty strip mall, bowling alley, ect. And on the left, what appears to be desertion at first, a random hotel with nothing (not even landscaping) ...more »
