“Silicone South” – Huntsville, Alabama Establish a “Hudson-Alpha” type complex featuring startup-tech-companies. The abandoned Wal-Mart building at the corner of Drake and Memorial Parkway seems an ideal location for a start. The idea is based on the “Silicon Prairie” report about a start-up complex in Lincoln Nebraska. What is your favorite BIG Picture idea for Huntsville

allow "granny pods" for housing our parents

A good life means having choices; and that includes being able to live in inter-dependent ways. Let's be sure zoning allows us to build a temporary "granny pod" in our backyards so that long-term care doesn't demand institutional care.

Agricultural Fair
