It would be beneficial to not only the city & it's residents but the Earth as well. For far too long we have all been exposed to many chemicals in our foods without knowing what really goes into them. I feel it is a hit backwards that eating healthy is more costly than a balanced nutrient rich diet. We could have a designated building with property attached where our residents of Huntsville & surrounding areas could come... more »
I just came from a talk by Mayor Battle during which he discussed the urban development concept (places where families work, live, and place in close proximity). I'd like to see another dimension added to the concept that would encourage people of all ages to live in close proximity so that they might help one another. What if we developed a program that citizens could adopt that would help them live longer by eating well and moving adequately (exercise)?
There are places on the planet called "blue zones" where people do live considerably longer and healthier.
In the South "good old Southern fried food" is a given. Yet our food habits are killing us. Huntsville could become a "blue zone" city.

This could also tie us closer with our neighbor cities along the river. As an added option, this boat could carry a casino. A lot of cities have casinos nearby that exist legally because they are in the water. Many people in Huntsville... more »
