We have "issues" with landlord/tenant relations in some areas. Is it possible to stand up a page on our city website, maybe in Community Development, covering information like this: http://www.seattle.gov/housing/renters Do we need solutions for affordable housing (rents at 30% of median income) close to downtown? What's involved with setting up incentives for affordable housing that isn't Housing Authority managed? ...more »

A good life means having choices; and that includes being able to live in inter-dependent ways. Let's be sure zoning allows us to build a temporary "granny pod" in our backyards so that long-term care doesn't demand institutional care.
Even in Hsv, our demographics are changing: more of a delta between haves and have nots. Allow a planned urban development or even public housing on ghost-town shopping center sites. Young architects and planners in NYC though it up....see attached. Where the article references existing housing sites, think Builder's Square shopping Center.
